I.V. therapy delivers essential vitamins, minerals, and hydration directly into the bloodstream to promote wellness, energy, and recovery. Each infusion is customized based on your health goals, symptoms, and provider recommendations.

Most treatments last 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the infusion type and your individual needs. To ensure optimal safety and results, please follow the guidelines below before and after your session.

  1. Plan adequate time:
Appointments may last up to 90 minutes depending on the selected infusion. Please schedule accordingly.
  2. Hydrate before treatment:
Drink at least two large glasses of water (24 oz.) prior to your appointment and again afterward to support circulation and hydration.
  3. Eat before arrival:
Have a balanced meal containing carbohydrates and protein before your infusion, or bring a small snack. This helps maintain stable blood sugar and prevents lightheadedness.
  4. Avoid caffeine and soda:
Do not consume coffee, tea, or soda within 2–3 hours of your appointment. These beverages can dehydrate you and make IV access more difficult.
  5. Avoid unnecessary supplements:
Do not take any vitamin or mineral supplements on the day of your infusion unless specifically approved by your provider.
  6. Limit exercise:
Avoid strenuous activity for at least 2 hours before and after your IV therapy.
  7. Inform your provider of changes:
Notify your provider and IV technician of any new medications, illnesses, or health concerns (such as chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, weight changes, or infections).
  8. Pregnancy or nursing:
Please inform your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as certain infusions may need to be adjusted or deferred.
  1. Communicate symptoms:
Inform your technician immediately if you experience dizziness, nausea, discomfort, or a metallic/vitamin tasteduring the infusion.
  2. Avoid crossing your legs:
Keep both feet flat and relaxed to allow proper blood flow throughout your body.
  3. Assistance with mobility:
If you need to use the restroom, please notify your technician. Move the IV pole with your non-IV arm. If you notice blood backing into the tubing, remain seated and alert your provider—this is easily corrected.
  4. Avoid sudden movements:
Do not stand up too quickly during or immediately after your infusion to prevent dizziness or fainting.
  1. After the infusion:
A small bandage will be applied to your IV site.
    • If you bruise easily, leave it on for 1 hour.
    • Otherwise, remove it after 15 minutes.
    • Monitor the site for redness, swelling, or tenderness. Contact the clinic if anything unusual occurs.
  2. Hydrate:
Continue drinking at least 24 oz. of water following your treatment.
  3. Rest:
Get plenty of rest after your session to allow your body to fully absorb and utilize the nutrients.
  4. If you experience any issues:
    • Contact our office immediately if you develop a reaction or have concerns.
    • If urgent care is required, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
