1 Week Before Treatment
  • Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners on the treatment area.
  • Discontinue use of retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), and harsh topical treatments for 5 days before your session.
  • Avoid chemical peels, laser, or microneedling treatments for at least 2 weeks before TriLift®.
  • Refrain from blood-thinning medications and supplements (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba) for 3–5 days before treatment, if approved by your provider.
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours prior, as these can dehydrate the skin.
  • Stay well-hydrated by drinking at least 64 oz. of water daily in the days leading up to your appointment.
Day of Treatment
  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin—no lotions, oils, sunscreen, or perfume on the treatment area.
  • Eat a light meal or snack prior to treatment to prevent lightheadedness.
  • Avoid wearing jewelry or metal near the treatment area.
  • Inform your provider of any recent injectables (Botox, filler, Sculptra, etc.), recent illnesses, or changes in your medical history.
  • Wear comfortable clothing, especially if treating the face, neck, or décolletage.
Immediately After
  • Mild redness, swelling, tingling, or warmth are normal and should subside within a few hours to 1–2 days.
  • Avoid touching or applying makeup to the treated area for at least 12 hours after your session.
  • Keep the area clean and dry; use only gentle cleansers and tepid water.
  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, or direct heat exposure for 24–48 hours.
First 48 Hours
  • Do not exfoliate or use any active skincare products (retinoids, glycolic or salicylic acid, vitamin C, or alcohol-based toners).
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, or activities causing excessive sweating.
  • Use a gentle moisturizer or soothing serum recommended by your provider.
  • Always apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen if you’ll be outdoors.
Following Week
  • Minor dryness, tightness, or flaking may occur as the skin renews. This is normal.
  • Avoid facials, laser, or chemical treatments for at least 1 week post-procedure.
  • Continue to hydrate well and maintain a healthy skincare routine.
  • You may resume your full skincare regimen, including retinols and actives, after 5–7 days unless instructed otherwise.
  • Most patients experience visible improvement after the first session, with results continuing to improve over 4–8 weeks as collagen and elastin rebuild.
  • A full treatment series typically includes 3–6 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart.
  • Maintenance sessions are recommended every 3–6 months, depending on your goals and skin condition.
  • Continued sun protection, hydration, and consistent skincare will help prolong results.
