1 Week Before Treatment

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning products on the treatment area.
  • Refrain from chemical peels, laser treatments, or microneedling in the treatment area for at least 2 weeks before your session.
  • Stop using retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acid, and other exfoliating actives 3–5 days before treatment.
  • Stay well-hydrated (drink at least 64 oz. of water daily) leading up to your appointment. Hydration improves heat conduction and results.
  • If possible, avoid NSAIDs and blood-thinning supplements (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ginkgo) for 3 days prior, if medically cleared.
  • Do not apply lotions, oils, or creams to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

Day of Treatment

  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin—no makeup, lotion, deodorant, or sunscreen on the area to be treated.
  • Shave the area if it contains dense hair; avoid waxing or plucking before your session.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
  • Avoid caffeine or alcohol the day of your treatment to optimize hydration and circulation.
  • Notify your provider of any implants, pacemakers, or metal in the treatment area.
  • Eat a light meal or snack before your session to prevent lightheadedness.
Immediately After
  • The skin may appear slightly pink or warm; this typically subsides within 30–60 minutes.
  • You may resume normal activities immediately—there is no downtime.
  • Continue to hydrate well to support collagen remodeling and improve circulation.
First 24–48 Hours
  • Avoid excessive heat exposure (saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, or hot showers).
  • Refrain from intense exercise or anything that may cause excessive sweating for 24 hours.
  • Avoid exfoliating treatments, scrubs, or active skincare products (retinol, glycolic acid, vitamin C) for at least 2–3 days.
  • Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer or soothing serum recommended by your provider if mild dryness occurs.
  • Always use SPF 30+ sunscreen on treated areas if exposed to sunlight.
Ongoing Care
  • Mild warmth, tightening, or sensitivity may continue for several hours—this is normal and indicates collagen stimulation.
  • Keep the skin moisturized and hydrated daily to enhance results.
  • Avoid additional aesthetic treatments on the same area (microneedling, laser, filler, etc.) for at least one week, unless approved by your provider.
  • Results are gradual as collagen rebuilds over 6–12 weeks.
  • A full series typically includes 4–6 sessions spaced 1–2 weeks apart, depending on the treatment area and skin goals.
  • Maintenance sessions are recommended every 3–6 months to sustain collagen renewal and tightening effects.
  • Consistent hydration, a balanced diet, and daily sun protection will enhance and extend results.
