Emsella® is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, improving bladder control, core stability, and sexual wellness. This innovative therapy delivers thousands of deep muscle contractions in one session, activating and strengthening the muscles responsible for pelvic support.

Each treatment is quick, painless, and performed while you remain fully clothed.

On the Day of Your Treatment

  • Wear comfortable clothing without metal zippers, buttons, or embellishments.
  • Remove all metal jewelry and accessories (rings, bracelets, watches, belts) prior to your session. The Emsella® device uses a powerful magnetic field similar to an MRI, which can be affected by metal.
  • You will remain fully clothed during treatment, sitting comfortably on the Emsella® chair.
  • Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
  • Because the magnet can interfere with electronic devices, please leave your cell phone or smart watch outside the treatment room.
  • You may bring a book, magazine, or other non-electronic reading material if desired.
  • There is no downtime following Emsella®. You can resume all normal daily activities immediately after your session.
  • Mild tingling or muscle fatigue in the pelvic region is normal and temporary.
  • Stay hydrated and maintain a balanced diet to support optimal muscle function.
  • A full series typically includes six sessions, scheduled twice weekly for three consecutive weeks.
  • Each session should be spaced 2–3 days apart.
  • Most patients begin noticing improvements after the first few treatments, with optimal results achieved after completing the full series.
  • Maintenance treatments are recommended every 1–6 months, depending on your results and provider recommendation.
  • Continue daily Kegel exercises to support and strengthen the pelvic floor between treatments.
  • Schedule periodic maintenance sessions to sustain long-term benefits.
